Mountain Resort Stats.
Take a look at global mountain resort stats to see which ski destination lies at what altitude. The general consensus is, the higher the mountain resorts are, the more likely, they will receive a greater snowfall. We are assuming you are not at the equator, where it gets a bit warmer. So if snow powder is what you are after, may this your guide.

In case you are thinking will the mountain layout look the same, above the highest altitude? Well not on different continents. Our Trans pacific observations were that the mountain terrain of Europe is more jaggered, with sheer rock faces often towering almost vertically above you, especially above 1800m, whereas in North American resorts, some mountains will be gentler sloping. Rolling hills are encountered in Australia, and to a lesser extent New Zealand.

500m and below
What, you’ll find snow at this low altitude?A lot of ski resorts scattered throughout Sweden, Japan in closer proximity to the ice caps get reasonable snow fall. When travelling to low altitude ski destinations we recommend, check the historical snowfall for the region. It is also a good idea to see how high is the latitude of the resort ( the closer to global snowcaps, the better).
Japan has got many mountains formed from extinguished volcanoes, consequently conically shaped, with snow line at an altitude as low altitude 300m .
